The Frostbitten Town

The grim, frostbitten town of Norikhaden holds a secret.

John Petrucci has the perfect life working as a legendary epic prog metal guitarist in the city and rehearsing Metropolis Pt. 2 with his complex girlfriend, Prog Metal.

However, when he finds an intellectually superior to everyone bass guitar in his cellar, he begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Petrucci family.

A Wintersun - Live in Tokyo leaves John with some startling questions about his past, and he sets off to chuggy Norikhaden to find some answers.

At first the people of Norikhaden are prog and djent. He is intrigued by the curiously sophisticated adept drummer, The Phone. However, after she introduces him to hard instrumental prog metal songs, John slowly finds himself drawn into a web of playing in 4/4, having a song less than 10 mins long and perhaps, even listening to mainstream pop music.

Can John resist the charms of The Phone and uncover the secret of the intellectually superior to everyone bass guitar before it's too late, or will his demise become yet another Norikhaden legend?
